Welcome to the home of the 2020 ACM SIGMOD/PODS Conference, to be held in Portland, Oregon, USA, on June 14 – June 19, 2020.
The Conference. The annual ACM SIGMOD/PODS Conference is a leading international forum for database researchers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore cutting-edge ideas and results, and to exchange techniques, tools, and experiences in all aspects of data management.

Portland. “The City of Roses” is the largest city in Oregon and the second largest city in the Pacific Northwest after Seattle. It lies about 70 mi (124 km) from the Pacific Coast on the northern border of the state of Oregon. About 50 mi (80 km) to the east lies majestic Mount Hood, which forms the perfect backdrop for Portland’s skyline.

The city is noted for its scenic beauty, great outdoors environment, a large number of microbreweries, and its eco-friendly urban planning policies. In Portland, it’s easy to find limitless recreation, fabulous food, craft beer and flourishing culture. See for yourself, and come early or stay late to enjoy all that Portland has to offer. With no sales tax, Portland is a haven for shoppers. You’ll find retailers large and small, international and indie within easy reach of the conference. The nearby Pearl District is home to galleries, boutiques, chic restaurants and the legendary Powell’s City of Books. An award-winning airport, efficient light rail system and pedestrian-friendly city blocks in the central city make getting around town a real pleasure.

Conference hotel The conference will be held in the Double Tree by Hilton hotel, which is conveniently located within walking distance of the Oregon Convention Center, Moda Center and Portland Memorial Coliseum. Enjoy convenient travel on the Portland MAX light rail, located directly outside this hotel. The hotel offers delightful views of either downtown or the beautiful Cascade Mountain Range.
